Kimberley "Kim" Reynolds is an agent of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). She was sent to London as an observer of the Met's investigation into the murder of the American citizen James Gallagher.[1] During the course of the investigation she became aware of the existence of magic and The Folly's purpose.

After returning to the U.S., she has began investigating supernatural influences on active shooters and on other cases that may have “supernatural” connections.[2][3]

She informed Peter Grant that an unknown group of consultants visited the FBI and was asking questions about him.[2]

Personality[]

She dislikes others cursing around her and kebabs.[2] She is a devout Christian.[4]

Early Life[]

Not much is known about her life prior to Whispers Under Ground. It is revealed she is grew up in an area with heavy snow[1] and that her father took her hunting as a teenager.[2][4] She was raised in Enid, Oklahoma (p. 47, Winter's Gifts), with by a devout Christian mother (Ibid.). Her father died before Winter's Gifts. Her younger brother is a lay preacher and lives one block from her mother's house (p. 154,WG).

Education[]

In college, she studied Health, and Criminal Law.[4] After a Short time working at an insurance company, she joined the FBI after the WTC attack on 9/11 2001.[4] She was educated at the FBI Academy in Quantico.[3]

Hair Color[]

She is red-headed but dyed her hair blonde during the investigation in Whispers Under Ground to be less memorable and to diminish any resemblance to fictional FBI agent Scully of the X-files.[1] After beginning her supernatural investigations she stopped dyeing her hair, which she described as 'leaning into it'.[2]
