Gabriel Beck of Koblenz was a fellow of the White Library, and a clerk at the Elector's Court. He thought that he loved Kelly, but she ignored him. He gained a warrant from the Chancellor of the White Library, enabling him to accuse Kelly of witchcraft and trying to annul her marriage. When Kelly went into labour, her husband Christian Stracker challenged him to a duel, and was killed. To escape Kelly's fury (she and her sisters flooded all rivers, making travel impossible), Gabriel fled up the Markusberg. There she buried him alive, but undying.[1]
